Call and Response

each day
when I awake and see the stability
of the great cosmos
yet again arranged in place and in sequence
around and within me…

and when at night I look into the skies
and take in the sequence of stars everywhere,
arranged in a harmony and order of constellations…

so this inspires in me the wish
to also be an arrangement of
harmony and order and purpose
within this great unfolding of wonder and mystery
which accompanies and upholds us all, everywhere…

constellations of constant and steadfast arrangement,
above and below, each and every day of our lives here on Earth,
each a gateway and threshold
of an even greater fulfillment
yet to be and to know…
